Private Equity investor with a clear purpose

Revitalising and repositioning the „European Mittelstand”

The right partner and custodian for selling shareholders

About us

We are a private equity firm focused on repositioning and revitalising European SMEs in the face of current macro- and micro-economic challenges. We are the preferred partner for sellers of underperforming businesses in Europe. SMEs are the backbone of the European economy and are vital to the long term growth and prosperity of Europe. At Monacum Partners, we pride ourselves in our role in supporting those SMEs to regain their competitive edge through measured and proven turnaround strategies; in doing so, we align the interests of all stakeholders to ensure long term sustainability and success.

Integrity, entrepreneurship and excellence are modus operandi at Monacum Partners.

Investment Approach

The core of Monacum Partners is acquiring underperforming companies with significant operational improvement potential. Our investment strategy is based on following criteria:

Headquarted
in Europe

Turnover more than 50m Euros

Industrial goods and business services

Assets with operational upside potential

Privately and publicly held companies

Flexible ownership structure

The following are the three most common type of transactions:

Carve-outs

Separating an individual entity from a corporation and repositioning it as a stand-alone company. At Monacum Partners we have the required expertise to manage complex carve-outs, unlock hidden value, and provide the seller with the assurance that its former entity has been handed over to a reliable partner.

Special situations

If companies face extremely challenging situations that lead to a negative or underperforming EBITDA, Monacum Partners provides the required restructuring experience which enables sustainable turnarounds and generates value for all stakeholders.

Succession

When it comes to unresolved succession in a family business, combined with an operational improvement need, we are the right partner to take the legacy of the family business into a successful future.

Management Team

Monacum’s management team is highly experienced in complex turnaround situations, with a proven track record throughout the career of the managing partners.
